Amanda and Scott are an incredibly fun and adventurous couple! We hit the ground running right from the start throwing ideas and plans back and forth for their wedding day. As the conversation turned to the engagement session we started veering off into the wild. I seem to remember discussing some crazy themes which brought up Stephen King, and as Scott sat next to his soon to be wife, the stunning Amanda, he had this cheeky grin on his face. I ask myself…”should you really tell a client they look like Jack Nicholson from The Shining?” Of course I went for it and was met with a lot of enthusiasm and agreement (phew!).
So an idea was born for Amanda and Scott’s “The Shining” styled engagement session. I felt we all couldn’t of been more excited!
There followed a lot of exchanges of emails, telephone calls, trips to thrift stores, typewriter hunting, rummaging for old suitcases…..and of course the widely debated topic of how to incorporate axing through a door…..romantically.
I think the results were amazing and am so thrilled to be a part of Amanda and Scott’s engagement session and wedding day.
